Core Commitments

 

 

The Anabaptist Providers Group (APG) and its members commit themselves to: Being a church ministry, developing healthy relationships, exercising sound stewardship, responding to the needs of older adults and others, and working together to achieve a greater good.

 

Church Ministry

APG and its member organizations approach their missions as an extension of the Church and the Anabaptist family of churches in particular. Member organizations believe they are a visible sign of Christ’s healing and life-enhancing ministry. This is demonstrated by:

  ·         Seeking the counsel of the church

  ·         Seeking to serve the church

·        Identifying themselves as a Christian ministry

 

Relationships

APG and its members are committed to developing healthy and effective relationships among members of the alliance, those they serve, employees, churches, professional associations, business partners, and the surrounding community. This is demonstrated by:

 ·         Trustworthiness

 ·         Respectfulness

 ·         Openness

 ·         Mutual Support

 ·        Integrity

 

Stewardship

APG and its members believe that all resources are from God. Resources are used in ways that are life enhancing and advance the mission of the members and the total alliance. This is demonstrated by:

 ·         Disclosure of information to appropriate oversight groups

 ·         Integrity in human resources practices and policies

 ·        Efficient and cost-effective use of resources

 

Responding to Need

APG and its members are committed to extending the Anabaptist witness by meeting the needs of older adults. APG and its members consider new ways to enhance the lives of those they serve. APG and its members consider methods to respond to greater numbers of older adults. This is demonstrated by:

 ·         Continual evaluation of the needs of persons served

 ·         Development of new programs and services

 ·         As appropriate, expansion to new services and projects

 ·        Consideration of methods to serve diverse groups of older adults.

 

Together to Achieve a Greater Good

APG and its members are committed to working together to achieve outcomes not possible as unaffiliated organizations. Clusters and individual members take the initiative to work together to advance the mission of APG. This is demonstrated by:

       ·         Seeking collaboration with other members

       ·         Possessing a teachable spirit

       ·         Finding ways to be inter-connected.
